Shri Ramanlal Muljibhai Thakkar

Born in 1932 in a small village called Kotambi, near Vadodara (Gujarat), Shri Ramanlal Muljibhai Thakkar’s journey has been one of determination, innovation, and dedication. He served with excellence for 21 years in Electric Control Gear, and became known for developing the first indigenous design of an Indian MCCB (Moulded Case Circuit Breaker).

His technical expertise was also recognized at the national level as he became a part of the ETEC IS Standards Committee for Low Voltage Switchgear, contributing to the advancement of Indian electrical engineering standards.

After the age of 50, he took over Gyrox Gears Industries and carried forward its growth with the same vision and discipline. Under his guidance, the company introduced innovative gear technologies and set new benchmarks in the gearbox industry.

Now, in 2025, at the age of 92 years, Shri Ramanlal Thakkar continues to inspire us all by still handling some of his favourite tasks at Gyrox. His life’s work reflects a rare combination of passion, precision, and perseverance.
